Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using TechSci. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Important Notice

These Terms contain an arbitration clause and class action waiver (Section 11). Please read them carefully as they affect your legal rights.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using TechSci ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Service.

Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use this Service. By using TechSci, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Description of Service

TechSci provides free credit score monitoring, credit reports, financial education, and related services ("Services"). Our Services include:

  • Free credit scores from TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian
  • Credit report summaries and detailed account information
  • Credit monitoring and change alerts
  • Personalized credit improvement recommendations
  • Financial goal tracking and budgeting tools
  • Educational resources about credit and finance

Free Service: TechSci is completely free. We do not charge subscription fees. We may earn revenue through partnerships and advertisements.

3. Account Registration & Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use our Services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information, including your name, email, date of birth, and address.

3.2 Identity Verification

We verify your identity to obtain your credit information from credit bureaus. You authorize us to verify your identity and pull your credit report.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Keeping your contact information up to date

4. Credit Bureau Authorization

By using TechSci, you expressly authorize us to:

  • Obtain your consumer credit report and score from TransUnion, Equifax, Experian, and other consumer reporting agencies
  • Monitor your credit file for changes and provide ongoing updates
  • Access your credit information for the purpose of providing Services

Note: Checking your own credit score through TechSci is a "soft inquiry" and will NOT impact your credit score.

5. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information
  • Create multiple accounts or impersonate others
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access our Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
  • Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercialize our Services

Violation Consequences: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations without notice.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of TechSci, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and data compilations, are the exclusive property of TechSci and protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimers & Limitations

7.1 Credit Information Accuracy

We obtain credit information from third-party bureaus. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free, complete, or up-to-date. You should review your full credit reports directly from the bureaus at AnnualCreditReport.com.

7.2 Not Financial Advice

Our recommendations and educational content are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice. Consult a qualified professional for personalized guidance.

7.3 "AS IS" Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

TechSci, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents SHALL NOT BE LIABLE for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data
  • Business interruption
  • Errors in credit information provided by bureaus
  • Unauthorized access to your account (unless due to our negligence)

Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechSci and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Infringement of any third-party rights
  • Your conduct in connection with the Service

10. Account Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting support@techsci.co.

10.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access and use the Service ceases. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY

This section affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.

11.1 Binding Arbitration

You and TechSci agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

11.2 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND TECHSCI AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING.

11.3 Opt-Out Right

You have the right to opt out of this arbitration clause by sending written notice to legal@techsci.co within 30 days of account creation.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

14. Miscellaneous

Severability:

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

Entire Agreement:

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and TechSci.

No Waiver:

Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to do so later.

Assignment:

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them without restriction.
