Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our service.
1. Introduction
Welcome to TechSci Currency Exchange ("TechSci," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our remittance service, which facilitates the conversion of Tremendous reward redemptions from USD to BDT (Bangladesh Taka) and subsequent disbursement via bKash.
By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use our service.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using our service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
2. Eligibility
To use TechSci Currency Exchange, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Residency: You must be a resident of a country where our service is available. Currently, we serve users in the United States and Bangladesh.
- Personal Use Only: Our service is intended for personal, non-commercial use only. Business or commercial use is prohibited.
- Prohibited Users: You may not use our service if you are located in, or a national or resident of, any country subject to U.S. or international sanctions, or if you are listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
3. Service Description
TechSci Currency Exchange is a remittance bridge service that enables users to convert Tremendous reward redemptions from USD to BDT and receive the funds via bKash in Bangladesh.
3.1 How It Works
Our service operates through the following process:
- Submit Redemption: You submit your Tremendous reward link through our platform.
- KYC Verification: We verify your identity and eligibility as required by law.
- Payment Receipt: We redeem your Tremendous reward and receive USD funds.
- Currency Conversion: We convert your USD to BDT at the agreed exchange rate.
- Disbursement: We send BDT to your verified bKash account.
- Confirmation: You receive email and WhatsApp notifications confirming completion.
3.2 Processing Timeline
We offer three service tiers with different processing timelines:
- Express (2-6 hours): Fastest processing with premium exchange rate.
- Priority (24-48 hours): Balanced speed and rate.
- Standard (2-4 business days): Best exchange rate with standard processing.
Important: Processing times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control, including bank processing times, weekends, holidays, and verification requirements.
4. Fees and Exchange Rates
4.1 Fee Structure
Our pricing is transparent and built into the exchange rate you select. There are no hidden fees unless explicitly stated during the transaction process.
- Express Tier: Exchange rate includes service fee margin.
- Priority Tier: Exchange rate includes service fee margin plus 1.84% transfer fee (for payment method charges).
- Standard Tier: Exchange rate includes service fee margin.
4.2 Exchange Rate Disclosure
IMPORTANT CFPB DISCLOSURE:
Exchange rates displayed on our platform include a margin above the interbank market rate. The actual rate you receive may differ from publicly available market rates. We determine our exchange rates based on market conditions, our operational costs, and the service tier you select.
Exchange rates are locked in at the time of your transaction submission and will not change unless you modify your transaction before processing begins.
4.3 Rate Determination
Our exchange rates are updated regularly based on:
- Current USD/BDT interbank exchange rates
- Liquidity and market conditions
- Operational costs and risk management
- Service tier selection (Express, Priority, Standard)
You will see the exact exchange rate and total BDT amount you will receive before confirming your transaction.
5. Transaction Limits
The following transaction limits apply to our service:
- Minimum Transaction: $1.00 USD
- Maximum Transaction: $10,000.00 USD per transaction
- Daily Limit: $10,000.00 USD per 24-hour period
- Monthly Limit: $50,000.00 USD per calendar month
We reserve the right to modify these limits at any time for compliance, risk management, or operational reasons. Higher limits may be available upon request and additional verification.
6. KYC and Identity Verification
As a registered Money Services Business (MSB), we are required by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and FinCEN regulations to verify the identity of our customers.
6.1 Required Information
To complete identity verification, you must provide:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Residential address
- Government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, driver's license, national ID card)
- Selfie photo holding your ID (for liveness verification)
- Contact information (email, phone, WhatsApp)
- bKash account number (for disbursement)
6.2 Verification Timeline
KYC verification typically takes 1-2 business days. You will be notified via email when your verification is approved or if additional documentation is required.
6.3 Additional Documentation
We reserve the right to request additional documentation at any time to:
- Verify the source of funds
- Comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
- Investigate suspicious or unusual activity
- Meet enhanced due diligence requirements for high-value transactions
6.4 Data Security
All sensitive information is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and stored securely. Documents are stored using Vercel Blob Storage with access controls. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
7. Prohibited Activities
You may not use our service for any of the following prohibited activities:
- Money Laundering: Using our service to conceal the origins of illegally obtained money.
- Terrorist Financing: Providing funds or support for terrorist activities or organizations.
- Sanctions Evasion: Circumventing U.S. or international sanctions or embargoes.
- Fraud or Misrepresentation: Providing false information, using stolen credentials, or engaging in fraudulent transactions.
- Business/Commercial Use: Using our service for business purposes, commercial transactions, or on behalf of third parties.
- Illegal Activities: Any activity that violates local, state, federal, or international law.
- Account Sharing: Allowing others to use your account or credentials.
- Automated Access: Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to access our service.
Consequences: Engaging in prohibited activities may result in immediate account termination, transaction reversal, funds seizure, and reporting to law enforcement authorities.
8. User Obligations
By using our service, you agree to:
- Provide Accurate Information: Ensure all information submitted is true, accurate, current, and complete.
- Maintain Account Security: Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
- Update Information: Promptly update your account information if it changes (e.g., address, phone number, bKash account).
- Comply with Laws: Comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
- Report Errors: Notify us within 180 days of any errors or discrepancies in your transactions.
- Cooperate with Investigations: Cooperate with any KYC, AML, or fraud investigations as requested.
9. Refund and Cancellation Policy
9.1 Cancellation Before Processing
You may cancel your transaction at any time before we begin processing (i.e., before we redeem your Tremendous reward link). To cancel, contact us at support@techsci.co. If you cancel before processing, you will receive a full refund.
9.2 Cancellation After Processing
Once we have redeemed your Tremendous reward and initiated the currency conversion process, the transaction cannot be canceled. Refunds will not be issued for transactions that have already been processed.
9.3 Error Resolution Rights
You have the right to dispute errors or unauthorized transactions within 180 days of the transaction date. See Section 10 (Error Resolution) for details.
10. Error Resolution (CFPB Requirement)
YOUR ERROR RESOLUTION RIGHTS:
If you think there has been an error or problem with your remittance transfer, you have the right to report it and get a resolution.
10.1 Covered Errors
Covered errors include:
- Incorrect amount sent or received
- Funds not delivered to the recipient
- Computational or bookkeeping errors
- Wrong exchange rate applied
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions
10.2 How to Report an Error
To report an error, you must contact us within 180 days of the transaction date:

- Include: Your name, transaction reference ID, description of the error, and the dollar amount involved.
10.3 Investigation Timeline
We will investigate your error claim within 90 days of receiving your notice. We will notify you of the results of our investigation, including:
- Whether an error occurred
- The amount of any correction or refund
- The date funds will be available (if applicable)

11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Service Provided "As Is"
Our service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11.2 Delays Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by factors beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Bank processing delays
- Third-party payment processor issues (Tremendous, bKash)
- Internet or network failures
- Natural disasters, war, terrorism, or acts of God
- Government actions, sanctions, or regulatory changes
11.3 Third-Party Actions
We are not responsible for the actions or failures of third parties, including Tremendous (reward provider), bKash (disbursement provider), or banking institutions.
11.4 Maximum Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to your use of our service shall not exceed the amount of the specific transaction in question.
Excluded Damages: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
12. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution
IMPORTANT: ARBITRATION AGREEMENT
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court.
12.1 Agreement to Arbitrate
Except as provided in Section 12.4, you and TechSci agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court.
12.2 Arbitration Rules
Arbitration shall be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be held in the United States or another mutually agreeable location.
12.3 Opt-Out Right
You have the right to opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of creating your account by sending an email to legal@techsci.co with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and including your name and email address.
12.4 Exceptions to Arbitration
The following disputes are not subject to arbitration:
- Small claims court actions (up to $10,000)
- Disputes regarding intellectual property rights
- Actions to enforce the arbitration agreement
12.5 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any arbitration or court proceeding shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class action, consolidated action, or representative action. You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by TechSci
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspected fraud or illegal activity
- Failure to complete KYC verification
- Providing false or misleading information
- Excessive chargebacks or disputes
- Regulatory or legal requirements
13.2 Termination by You
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@techsci.co. Account closure does not affect pending transactions.
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your access to the service will be immediately disabled.
- Pending transactions will be completed or refunded at our discretion.
- Your account data will be retained for legal and regulatory compliance purposes (typically 5 years for MSB requirements).
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including arbitration, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.
14. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God (earthquakes, floods, storms, pandemics)
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or riot
- Government actions, embargoes, or sanctions
- Labor disputes or strikes
- Internet or telecommunications failures
- Power outages or utility failures
- Third-party service provider failures
In the event of a force majeure event, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users and resume normal operations as soon as practicable.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Provide at least 30 days' notice via email to your registered email address
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Post a notice on our website homepage
Your continued use of the service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the service and close your account.
Note: Changes to the arbitration agreement (Section 12) will not apply to any disputes filed before the effective date of the amendment.

18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if it cannot be made enforceable, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TechSci regarding your use of the service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
Acknowledgment of Understanding
By using TechSci Currency Exchange, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our service.
